The 2010 Canadian Collectible Toy Expo is this Sunday, April 25th,
at the Burlington Holiday Inn at QEW & Guelph Line in Ontario.
Special Guests: The 501st Canadian Garrison in full Star Wars
costume. The show features dealers selling Transformers
(vintage and Japanese imports), Star Wars (new and vintage),
GIJoe (vintage and modern), Super Heroes (Marvel, DC etc),
Wrestling, Masters of the Universe Classics and tons of other action
figures and collectibles.

The final wave of the 2009 Clone Wars figures (or 2010 Wave 3) is working its way across Canada on behalf of WalMarts everywhere. Featuring CW47 Firefighter Droid, CW48 Obi-Wan (Cold Weather Gear), CW49 MagnaGuard (with cloth cape) and CW50 Captain Rex (Cold Assault Gear) these cases also includeCW39 Commander Bly from the wave dropped from Canadian distribution.

The Edmonton Collectible Toy and Comic Show is a family-friendly one-day, annual event that caters to Edmonton’s large toy and comic book collecting community and the young-at-heart alike. The show is now in its eighth annual year and is proud to call the Shaw Conference Centre home after two very successful years there. There will be over 25,000 square feet of exhibit space where Western Canada's finest vendors will be offering up a wide variety of collectible toys, comics, video games and more!
In addition to all of the great collectibles at The Edmonton Collectible Toy and Comic Show, the event organizers are proud to announce that two special guests will be in attendance and signing autographs this year:

Perhaps no Jedi Knight in the new Star Wars films is as captivating as the blue skinned Twi-Lek, Aayla Secura, the character played by Amy Allen in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Bob McLeod
Bob McLeod got his start working with Marvel Comics in 1973 and is perhaps best known for co-creating the New Mutants with writer Chris Claremont. Bob has worked as a cover artist, penciller, and/or inker on every major title in the biz including Action Comics, Conan the Barbarian, Spider-man, X-Men, Thunderbolts, GI Joe and a whole lot more!
A number of local, independent comic book creators, the 501st and Rebel Legions; two worldwide groups of Star Wars costumers (www.badlands.ca) (www.rebellegion.com) will also be present at The Edmonton Collectible Toy and Comic Show. Edmonton is home to some world class collections and this year’s event features exhibits of rare toys, posters and original production art celebrating everything from the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, GI Joe, Spider-man, Gremlins and more! Our popular Collector Panels also return with discussions on the history of Kenner toys, Transformers and an independent comic creators panel.
The Edmonton Collectible Toy and Comic Show is pleased to be working once again with The Edmonton Food Bank.The Edmonton Food Bank provides food to people in need throughout the Edmonton area. Donations during the springtime months are especially slow and to help, The Edmonton Collectible Toy and Comic Show will be accepting non-perishable food and cash donations. 2010 Packaging Revealed

Up for discussion is this year's new look at our beloved franchise packaging. Once again Clones have taken the spotlight for product identity and we are back to blue. Fewer corners on the figure card backs are a bonus and let's hope Hasbro comes through with delivering individual character artwork as was suggested for what they now perceive as a larger international market.
